What exactly is a Nut Roll?

For most people, a nut roll is a pastry that looks something like this:

But if you’re more into gas station candy, you’re probably more familiar with the “salted nut roll” that Pearson’s puts out. This is more of a handmade variety of that – but on a stick, of course.
