Katrina & Jeff sample chocolate-dipped s’mores on a stick on this very special day.
Happy National S’mores Day!
The ever-popular campfire treat in the U.S. gets its own special day today. It’s a decidedly delicious concoction of gooey roasted marshmallow and semi-melted chocolate sandwiched in between two graham crackers. Did you know that the first recorded recipe for s’mores was found in the Girl Scout Handbook?
At the Dipped In Chocolate booth at the Iowa State Fair, you’ll learn there’s a lot to be said for the phrase “chocolate or cheese can go with anything”. Though chocolate is naturally a key component of s’mores, Katrina is not sure if a chocolate-dipped variety that’s COLD, no less, will measure up to the s’mores of her youth.
